Sunrise and Sunset in Green Cove Springs

I ordered pancakes and eggs over medium. The food was cooked to perfection, service was good, not excellent. The atmosphere is noisy, clanging pots and pans and people talking loudly. The process are a bit stiff for a breakfast meat, we spent $30 for two regular menu meals, coffee and orange juice.

This is a hidden gem in Green Cove! The service is beyond amazing. Everyone is treated like family. The food is fantastic. We took a large family and all ordered something different. Everything came out amazing, even for our pickiest eaters. You get a lot of food for a good price. Definitely a new regular place. A must try:)

Best place in Green Cove Springs for breakfast and lunch. Be prepared to wait during peak times, but the cooks are fast and the servers flip the tables quickly. Love the 80's rock music they sometimes have on, just to LOUD on occasion. Good place to take the kids.

Spouse liked his biscuits and gravy, had the cove platter. Said it was greasy but good, lol. I had the 2 egg breakfast with grits and toast. Cook needs to know if you use a whisk and a little bit of hot water regularly on the grits they wouldn't be so thick and lumpy.

The food is fine. (It’s hard to mess up bacon and eggs.) But, what bothered me is while my son and I were there today, we watched a couple customers leave. As soon as they stepped out the door the waitresses started talking about how they wanted to fight them and how awful they were. It wasn’t a quiet little conversation between coworkers-this was said loud enough for everyone to hear. A couple of minutes later, a family started to walk in, and before they got to the door, the waitresses started to make fun of the older man’s hair very loudly. It was very rude and unprofessional. It made me wonder what they said about my son and I when we left....

I was made aware that my kind “black folks” are not welcome here. Maybe it was my Michelle Obama purse or just my skin color but I was not well received so I politely left. I’ll never return!

UPDATE: This is now the 3rd time I went there 15-30 minutes before they were supposed to close at 2pm and they already closed. I'm generally not a stickler but if your business says you're open till 2 p.m. you should be open till 2 p.m.Consistent food at great prices service always seems to be solid. recommended as the go-to spot for breakfast in Green Cove Springs.

Food is great just like the service

This place similar to classic diners. The food was a good price. Our server Tonya was great, she was really fast. The country ham, sausage and bacon were all good. The pancakes I didn't like they were kinda rubbery/doughy. The scrambled eggs weren't amazing. Same with the grits, they were average. The croissant egg sandwhich was good. The french toast was good. They have a jukebox inside also. Plus its a little noisy, but you can expect that in a diner where food is prepared next to you. Also no ice coffee on menu, but the waitress tried to accommodate and make ice coffee. Also no bagels for egg sandwich, which is disappointing.

This is a good local spot for breakfast. Similar to Huddle House but with a better lunch menu.

Was looking for a place to take my elderly father out to lunch on way to his doctor appointment. Did a search for a mom & pop type resturant for lunch that served beef liver & onions. Found this using Google maps. Friendly and packed with breakfast customers @ 1130. Friendly people....a couple of people saluted my dad when he walked in taking off his WWII Vet hat. Looks like an old Waffle House style building. My dad tried liver & onions and I had a cheese steak sandwich. My dad said liver & sides were good. That was the important thing. The cheese steak needed an oil drain but I managed to salvage the meat & cheese onto a piece of toast after all the grease drained and soaked into the roll it was on. Not the place for cheese steaks, but will be back to try something else.

The atmosphere was amazing.The cook and wait staff were awesome.The sausage and gravy tasted like it was bought in and had no sausage flavor, just pepper.The crabcake eggs Benedict was good except the hollandaise sauce was nearly broke and the eggs were over done.Get new coffee because it's horrible.

Had the typical grits, eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast. The food and service was good.However, the acoustic's is terrible so it was very noisy.

Waitresses work hard to make sure that you are taken care of while you're there they keep your coffee cup full without asking and always polite and got a smile on their face they work hard and we appreciate what they do. Cook cooked food to my Senior Brother in Law expectations.

Nice small town restaurant. Looks like an old waffle house but the food was much better. Nice staff and a clean restaurant. Waitress was friendly and very attentive and made sure drinks were fresh and full and food was hot and cooked to order.

Great little dinner, wish it didn't take a hurricane for me to finally give it a try. Wish I had never waited. Order thinking it was gonna be a small plate for the price was astonished when my waitress set my plate down and it was almost a 10 inch oval of cubed potatoes, cheese, bacon, green pepper, and scrambled eggs.

Very nice people and good home cooked food

The food is excellent, exceeded my expectations. The only downside is that the AC was a little deficient maybe because we're in the middle of the summer.
